This morning, the lineup for the 2018 edition of electro/ pop / hip hop music festival Listen Out was announced, and holy shit it’s very good. Boasting headliners A$AP Rocky, Skepta and the godfather of all that wubwubwub music the kids love these days, Skrillex.
Another thing that people are majorly excited for, is the fact that this year’s festival also sees the first ever Australian visit from major buzz act, hip hop collective known as Brockhampton. After dropping three albums in 2017 alone as a part of their Saturation series, which saw track Sweet come in at #11 on triple j’s Hottest 100. the Californian outfit is set for release in June this year.
The festival is no stranger to hosting big names though, after pretty-well being forced to step up to the plate to fill the gaping demand for a premier electronic-based music festival after the deaths of Future Music Festival (2006-2015) and Stereosonic (2008-2015). R.I.P.
But Listen Out has well and truly taken over and does not show any signs of slowing down any time soon, having previously hosted huge names such as Flume, Childish Gambino, Travis Scott, Disclosure, A$AP Ferg, Azealia Banks, Chet Faker, RUFUS and yeah, the list goes on.
As for 2018 though, those four headliners mentioned up the top are just the tip of the iceberg. Other highlights include Confidence Man, Haiku Hands, KLLO, Polo Shirt (Polographia x Winston Surfshirt), Snakehips and many more. You can view the whole lineup below.
